Giuseppe Giangreco earned his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Palermo in 2022 and completed his MSc in Chemistry (Synthesis and Bio-Organic Chemistry) at the University of Bologna in 2024. As part of an Erasmus exchange at the University of Groningen, he contributed to an interdisciplinary research project—combining computational and experimental approaches—within the group of Prof. Ben Feringa.

In 2024, he joined the Caflisch group as a PhD researcher, focusing on the application of cheminformatics and computational structural biology. His expertise spans ligand-based and structure-based drug design, as well as molecular dynamics (MD) simulations for investigating ligand-protein interactions.
Beyond his primary research, he has a keen interest in the applications of neural networks and quantum chemistry in drug discovery.

Outside academia, he enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with friends and colleagues.
